
The 21-year-old student, who was hanged on August 4, was unable to repay a large sum of money he had received from a friend for betting on a cricket match, according to an alleged Suicide note he had written, police said.
“On August 4, 21-year-old BSC Final Year student Ravi committed suicide by hanging. Upon receiving the information, we rushed his body to a government hospital for postmortem. SR Nagar Police Station Circle Inspector Murli Krishna told ANI.
During the investigation, police seized a suicide note allegedly written by Ravi.
“Today, we find a suicide note written by Ravi. The note has revealed that he has bet Rs 40,000 for the cricket match he lost. His friend is constantly asking for money back,” Murli Krishna
