The Tirumala temple was closed for two days due to solar eclipse

The Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy Temple is closed for two days due to solar eclipse and the doors will be closed for 13 hours from December 25 to December 26.

“The solar eclipse starts at 8.08 am and ends at 11.16 am. According to one tradition, the temple doors will close at 11 pm on December 25 and open at 12 noon on December 26,” said Tirumala Tirupati Temple (TTD), which manages the temple affairs.

The Thirumala Temple begins at 12 noon on December 26, followed by the TTD priests performing rituals inside the temple.

After this, after 2 o’clock in the afternoon, devotees are allowed to visit Lord Venkateswara Swamy.

The TTD board has appealed to all devotees not to schedule any visits to the Tirupati temple in the coming days.
