After exiting the Indian smartphone market last July, HTC teased the re-entry in India a few days ago with the release of the Waterdrop Notch smartphone. That phone is Wildfire X and it has been officially announced. However, this smartphone was not manufactured by HTC and was manufactured by China-based Inon Smart Technology, which licensed the brand for the Indian market.
The HTC Wildfire X Helio P22 is powered by SoC and runs on Android and comes in two memory configurations, 3GB / 32GB and 4GB / 128GB. It has a microSD card slot, which enables storage expansion of up to 256GB.
The smartphone is built around a 6.2 HD HD + display with a screen-to-body ratio of 88.8%. It has a small notch top with an 8MP selfie camera.
These individual modules are: 12MP main, 8MP telephoto (2x optical zoom) and 5MP depth sensor.
The HTC Wildfire X is also included as a “MyBuddy”, a companion who can share your direct location with your companion and friends and trigger loud alarms in dangerous situations. It can transmit audio and video of its surroundings in real time. As a bonus it can be used to identify your wrong phone.
Wildfire X packs a 3,300mAh battery and is offered in one color – Sapphire Blue.
This smartphone costs INR10,999 ($ 155 / € 140) for the 3GB / 32GB model, while the 4GB / 128GB version costs you INR13,999 ($ 195 / € 175). However, for a limited time, both variants are available for as low as INR1,000 ($ 14 / € 13). You will be able to pick one up in India from Flipkart starting August 22nd.
In addition to the standard 1-year warranty, Wildfire X comes with a 6-month non-accidental accident protection and complimentary pickup and drop service
