There is no end to politics on the abolition of Article 370 and the partition of Jammu and Kashmir under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Former Union minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram said the government had taken this decision as the Muslims were the majority in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has given special status to Jammu and Kashmir, has not even touched Article 370, a prominent Hindu leader said.

“If there is a Hindu majority in Kashmir, the BJP has not touched it (Article 370), but they have canceled it because there is a Muslim majority in Kashmir,”
Chidambaram has criticized the government’s decision to repeal Article 370 since Union Home Minister Amit Shah made the announcement in the Rajya Sabha.

Asked about the government’s action, the Congress leader tweeted earlier that “muscle nationalism” has resolved any conflict anywhere in the world. ”

Although the Congress opposed the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill, which repealed Article 370 and divided the region into two Union Territories, some prominent leaders of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh parties supported the government.

Congress General Secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia and others have publicly defended the government’s decision to end Jammu and Kashmir’s special status.
