The decision was taken in this regard amid violent Covid-19 cases and shortage of beds in hospitals in the national capital. Due to this decision, a large number of Covid-19 patients in Delhi are unable to sleep in hospitals and are being treated at home.
Patients who need oxygen support will now be able to get lifesaving gas in their place at reasonable prices
Those who urgently need medical oxygen can make a formal request online by visiting.
They will have to provide a photo identity card, Aadhar card and Covid-19 report.
Officials of the concerned department will ensure timely delivery of medical oxygen to the patient.
The latest wave of coronavirus infection in Delhi has put huge pressure on the public health system, with hospitals in many states facing shortage of medical oxygen, beds, medicines and equipment.
Interestingly, the Delhi government has recently launched a free ‘auto ambulance’ service in New Delhi to support Covid-19 patients.
