K. Pawan Kalyan, the head of the Jana Sena Party, claimed on Sunday that the prohibition of digital transactions in the sale of alcohol was done so that money might be diverted for the next Assembly elections. On Sunday, Mr. Pawan Kalyan began the second stage of his Varahi Yatra in the Eluru district.
Speaking to a crowd here following a roadshow, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said that the Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy-led administration had so far made a staggering 1.25 lakh crore from the sale of alcoholic beverages, for which digital transactions were not permitted. “The YSRCP has syphoned off nearly 30,000 crore of the alcohol revenue to buy votes in the upcoming Assembly elections.”
In the year 2022, at least 32 persons in the Eluru district’s Jangareddigudem perished after eating fake alcohol. He urged JSP followers to confront MLAs over the audit of the 30,000 crore in alcohol income, saying, “People should consider who is playing with the lives of the poor.”
Mr. Pawan Kalyan responded to the YSRCP’s verbal assault on his private life by saying: “You (Mr. Jagan) have resorted to a verbal attack on my children, family, and mother. I’ve made the decision not to respond to such “criminal” attacks. My strategy for combating you is to get people to yell, “Hello AP; Bye Bye YSRCP.”
